Shortcode

Show a job listing anywhere with the [jobpress] shortcode, and choose its design, content, and jobs with attributes.

The [jobpress] shortcode places a job listing on any page, post, or widget area, in the classic editor or any page builder. In the block editor, the JobPress Jobs block gives you the same listing with a preview.

[jobpress]

On its own it lists every job in your global design with the Listing Defaults. Add attributes to change one listing without touching the others. An attribute you leave out, or leave empty, uses the global setting.

Examples

[jobpress title="We're hiring!" subtitle="Join our team"]
[jobpress design="5" category="engineering" per_page="6" show_view_all="yes"]
[jobpress design="2" category="design,engineering"]
[jobpress title="Remote roles" type="remote" show_search="yes"]
[jobpress design="3" show_vacancy="no" show_deadline="no" button_text="View role"]

Settings → Shortcodes lists every attribute too, under Available Shortcode.

Design and colors

AttributeWhat it does
design1 to 5 - the listing design
brand_color, hover_color, heading_color, secondary_color, content_color, border_colorHex colors, such as #7c3aed, for this listing only
AttributeWhat it does
title, subtitleThe header text
show_title, show_subtitleyes or no
show_positionsyes or no - the open positions count (Designs V1, V3, V5). It counts the jobs this listing matches.

Job cards

AttributeWhat it does
show_category, show_type, show_location, show_experience, show_vacancy, show_deadlineyes or no - each card detail (which designs show what)
button_textThe apply button text
AttributeWhat it does
show_searchyes shows a search bar above the jobs. Searches open the Jobs Page results.
show_view_allyes adds a link to the Jobs Page under the listing
view_all_textThe link text (default “View all jobs”)

When a listing shows a single category or type, its search bar and link keep that filter, so “View all jobs” under an Engineering listing opens all Engineering jobs.

Choosing the jobs

AttributeWhat it does
per_pageHow many jobs to show; all by default. In Designs V2 and V4, per category.
categoryCategory slugs, comma-separated: jobs in any of them
typeJob type slugs, comma-separated. With category, jobs must match both.
includeJob IDs, comma-separated: show only these jobs
excludeJob IDs, comma-separated: leave these jobs out
orderbydate (default), title, menu_order, or rand
orderDESC (default) or ASC

Find a slug in JobPress → Job Categories or Job Types. Find a job’s ID by hovering its title in All Jobs and reading post= in the link.

Developers can print a listing from PHP with echo do_shortcode( '[jobpress design="5"]' );.
