FAQ
Common questions about StoreSuite - pricing, requirements, AI, and access.
Is StoreSuite really free?
Yes. StoreSuite is free and open source on WordPress.org. Capabilities that other dashboards lock behind a Pro plan - AI generation, variable products, the full analytics suite, CSV export - are included with no feature gates, trial limits, or upsells.
Do I need WooCommerce?
Yes. StoreSuite requires WooCommerce to be installed and activated. It is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
How does the AI work and what does it cost me?
StoreSuite is built on the WordPress core AI Client and Connectors API - you bring your own provider and keys. Generation runs on the provider you configure in WordPress, so you stay in control of models and spend. AI features require WordPress 7.0+ and hide themselves when no capable provider is connected.
Who can access the dashboard?
Any user with the manage_woocommerce capability - typically Administrators and
Shop Managers - by visiting the page that contains the [storesuite_dashboard]
shortcode. Everyone else is redirected away.
Can I stop shop managers from reaching wp-admin?
Yes. Turn on Restrict Admin Area Access in Settings → General.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The dashboard and the analytics reports are responsive, with an off-canvas sidebar, stacked cards, and touch-friendly controls.
What are the requirements?
WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 8.1+, with WooCommerce active. AI generation additionally requires WordPress 7.0+. Tested up to WordPress 7.0.
My dashboard URLs return 404s. What do I do?
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes to refresh the routes. StoreSuite also flushes rewrite rules automatically on activation and update.
